The United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development, or UN Ocean Decade, happening from 2021 to 2030, brings together stakeholders and parties working to research and design the solutions needed to keep the ocean functioning properly.
The UN Ocean Decade Label
Serving the purpose of acquiring by 2030 “the science we need for the ocean we want”, the UNOD is creating a community of impactful ocean solutions.
The UN Ocean Decade label provides a convening framework for scientists and stakeholders from diverse sectors to develop the scientific knowledge and the partnerships needed to accelerate and harness advances in ocean science to achieve a better understanding of the ocean system, and deliver science-based solutions to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
Our mangrove restoration program
Mangrove forests sequester 5 times more CO2 than terrestrial forests on average, per unit area. Restoring mangrove forests has demonstrated very high impacts and multiple co-benefits for local communities & economies.
We have developed tailor-made solutions for companies willing to restore mangrove forests, providing them with quarterly impact reporting useful for them to engage their communities and stakeholders.
